Sweet and Sour Pig
Fun Hog Recipe
1 lb of loin of wild pig or chops cut up. Soak meat in 3 tsp soy sauce, coat in flour and fry in oil until crisp and brown.
2 green peppers cut in bite size pieces
1 can (large) pineapple chunks
1 small can bamboo shoots.
1 medium onion cut into bite size pieces
1 medium tomato cut into bite size pieces
Sauce:
2/3 cup sugar
8 tbsp catsup or applesauce
2 tbsp red wine
4 tbsp vinegar
8 tbsp soy sauce
Fry meat, set aside, cut up and mix vegetables and mix sauce separately.
Put meat and sauce together. Heat and add vegetables. Heat vegetables through. Vegetables should be crisp. Just before serving, add 2/3 cup water and 2 tbsp corn starch to entire mix to thicken. Mix corn starch with water before adding.
Serve over rice.
